The Blue Sanctuary:
Marine Wildlife Expedition
An immersive ocean experience within the protected waters of Loreto Bay National Park. Depending on the season, The Blue Sanctuary unfolds in different ways: from island exploration and marine wildlife enconters, to dedicated whale watching expeditions. Always guided by knowledge, intention, and deep respect for the living ocean.
Duration: Half day (5–6 hours)
Season: January-March: Whale watching season.
April-December: Island & marine wildlife exploration.
What you’ll experience: Sailing within Loreto Bay National Park in search of seasonal wildlife. From January to March, the experience is focused exclusively on whale watching. During the rest of the year, you'll explore its rich marine biodiversity through island visits, snorkeling, and wildlife encounters, such as sea lions, dolphins, and seabirds like blue-footed boobies.

Boat tour with local captain and certified naturalist guide (biologist).
Binoculars and field guides.

Voices of the Sky:
Birdwatching Experience
At dawn, when the desert and the sea awaken, witness the movement of hundreds of birds taking flight. A serene and educational experience guided by naturalists (biologist), revealing the voices and colors of Loreto’s skies.

What you’ll experience: An early morning exploration of coastal wetlands and desert oases — the meeting point of migratory and resident species. With binoculars and field guides, you’ll be guided in observing and identifying shorebirds, herons, land birds, and the iconic blue-footed booby, whether you're beginner or an experienced birder.

What you’ll experience: A guided interpretative hike across canyons and ridgelines of the Sierra de la Giganta. Discover the desert’s hidden biodiversity: endemic cacti, birds of prey, and the silence of ancient rock formations shaped by wind and time, a living landscape that tells the geological story of Baja California Sur.
